2026 and the challenges ahead
In 2026, communities across Minnesota are once again facing fear and uncertainty in the wake of Operation Metro Surge. Many entrepreneurs—particularly those within the Latino community—have been deeply impacted, as businesses struggle and customer bases shrink under the weight of this disruption.
Over these past weeks, our work has taken on a different meaning. Professional growth has no longer been defined by titles or responsibilities, but by stepping up in ways that go beyond any job description—ways that are more human, more urgent, and more meaningful than anything we have done before.
Some of us are delivering groceries to those who are afraid to leave their homes. Others are helping small business owners navigate the reality of losing what they have spent a lifetime building. Some stand in the streets as observers, others offer rides to neighbors, and many show up outside schools to help ensure the safety of our children. At the same time, we carry our own fears—holding tightly to what gives us stability—while choosing to move forward anyway.
Through it all, we have returned to a simple truth: the purpose of our work is our community. We work within it, and we work for it.
As a community, we have experienced profound sadness—watching the work of a lifetime feel as though it could shatter in an instant, and seeing those we care about live in fear.
Yet, alongside that pain, we have also witnessed something powerful: the unwavering support of our neighbors. The way people have stood together, for one another, for our rights, and for human dignity has become a source of strength, a reminder to keep moving forward and not give up.
Now more than ever, Sueve Group remains firmly committed to its mission: to stand alongside its clients and its community.

What's your 'Sueve'?
In 2015, while working abroad, I took a weekend trip to a mountain range and hiked up Sueve Mountain. When I reached the top and took in the view, I had a moment of clarity: this was the kind of life I wanted.
At the time, a corporate career meant living for the weekends—limited time off, limited freedom, and a constant feeling of waiting for life to happen. In that moment, I realized I wasn’t built for that path. But I also knew I needed financial stability. Walking away without a plan wasn’t an option.
Over the next few years, I spent a lot of time thinking about how to take back control of my time. As the daughter of two immigrant small business owners, the answer became clear: I needed to build something of my own.
But it wasn’t just about starting a business. I wanted to create a life where I could work smarter, build wealth, and have more freedom over my time. I began saving and investing—first in real estate, then in mutual funds—while educating myself on financial independence and the FIRE movement (Financial Independence, Retire Early).
Then, after having my two children, everything became more urgent. I realized there was no more time to wait. If I didn’t act, life would simply pass me by.
In 2019, I made the leap. I left a well-paid, secure job and started a consulting business that would allow me to generate income while continuing to grow my real estate investments.
When it came time to name the company, I asked myself a simple question:
What name would make me excited to go to work every day?
The answer was obvious: Sueve, the mountain that sparked my desire for freedom, independence, and control over my life.
To this day, every time I say the name of my company, I smile. It reminds me why I do what I do: to remain financially independent, to be in control of my time, and to help others in my community gain the tools and knowledge to do the same.

Our story
Sueve Group is the culmination of more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and real estate experience led by its founder, Aide Salgado.

In 2020, as the global pandemic disrupted businesses across the Twin Cities—and the Latino community faced additional challenges amid the social unrest aftermath stemming from the George Floyd murder—many entrepreneurs were forced to make critical decisions with significant financial consequences. During this time, the need for clear, numbers-driven, and holistic financial guidance became more important than ever. Supporting business owners as they navigated uncertainty—helping them understand their options and make informed decisions as well as facilitate access to capital—laid the foundation for what would become Sueve Group.
Since then, Sueve Group has evolved into a full-service financial consulting firm, partnering with entrepreneurs who have worked hard to get here and are ready to take the next step toward what’s next.
